PREPARATION 

  • Perform thorough review of work order and given notes
  • Take off all accessories in prep for bike wash
  • Bike Wash

 TORQUE & ADJUSMENTS

  • Put bicycle into repair stand, take off wheels
  • Torque pedals to spec
  • Torque derailleur hanger to spec
  • Torque rotor bolts if applicable
  • Torque cassette lockring to spec
  • Inflate tires to PSI to determined number on sidewalls of tire
  • Replace valve caps
  • Torque crank and chainring bolts to spec
  • Perform minor wheel true
  • Reinstall front and rear wheels
  • Lube chain
  • Perform brake adjustments for caliper brakes (set barrel adjusters back to neutral position), centering for disc brakes
  • Reset barrel adjusters to neutral positions
  • Align front and rear derailleurs
  • Set high and low limit screws for both front and rear derailleurs
  • Set b-limit screw on rear derailleurs
  • Adjust cable tension on front and rear derailleurs as needed
  • Don’t forget your end caps!
  • Tighten headset

FINAL CHECKS

  • Put all rider’s accessories back into the original spot you removed them from
  • Update software/firmware for electronic components
  • Test ridden by 2 techs to ensure quality
  • Make notes on workorder (i.e. future repairs and/or recommendations)
  • Contact customer or update store staff via Slack.

  • Remove cranks
  • Remove front and rear derailleurs
  • Clean drivetrain in ultrasonic parts washer

 TORQUE & ADJUSTMENTS

  • Torque derailleur hanger to spec
  • Reinstall front and rear derailleur
  • Reinstall cassette and torque to spec
  • Torque rotor bolts if applicable
